FINDING MY STAGE

I was young, among thirty mini-Santas in my kindergarten Christmas play, I was the one who got to speak. One taste of the spotlight was all it took...I was hooked for life. In high schoool it intensified. As that rare hybrid—drama kid by day, football player by night - I seized every opportunity to perform. Theater became my playground, each role a new adventure.

BREAKING INTO THE BUSINESS

1997 marked the turning point. First came my television debut on "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids," quickly followed by a meaty role in "Atomic Dog." But fate had bigger plans brewing...

THE AUDITION THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING

Later that year, I walked into an audition for a modest part in "Mystery, Alaska" - just a couple of lines. I read the scene, expecting nothing extraordinary. The LA casting director, Linda Lowy, threw me a curveball: "Can you take these sides for Stevie Weeks and read when you're reaady?" I knew it was a significantly larger role. I prepped, read, and she asked: "Can you skate?" (Is water wet? I'm Canadian 🇨🇦) The next day, I drove to Canmore to meet with director Jay Roach, skating together, and hanging out. Still, I kept my expectations in check. Weeks of silence followed. I chalked it up as a cool experience and moved on. Then came the call...another read with Jay, the Producers, everybody. More silence after that. Until THE call. The one every actor dreams about. "You got the part."

THE HOLLYWOOD CHAPTER

Those four magical months on "Mystery, Alaska" placed me alongside Russell Crowe, Burt Reynolds, Hank Azaria, and Colm Meaney. An all-star roster of talent that still feels surreal to list. With introductions to my first L.A. manager, I packed my bags and headed south. Representation by UTA followed. For nine amazing years, this fish-out-of-water Canadian navigated the Hollywood waters. The stories I could tell would fill volumes—but the work speaks for itself.

THE HIATUS & RENAISSANCE

Eventually, I came back to Canada, my passion for acting dimmed, and a little burnt out. I needed time away. But in 2016, donning the legendary hat of Wyatt Earp in "Wynonna Earp" reignited the flame. Since then, my passion is back and I've been consistently working.

CAREER MILESTONES

Along the way, my work in "The Ties That Bind" led to a nomination for Best Male Performance and "The Beach Boys: An American Family" miniseries received an Emmy nomination for Best Miniseries. Being involved in projects that connect with both audiences and critics has been one of the most rewarding aspects of this career.

THE CAREER CONTINUES...

Here's to many more roles, many more stories, and many more years in the spotlight that first captivated that kindergarten Santa. The best scenes are still being written.
